Alaskan Energy Resources / Tercel Oilfield Products

An open house was hosted at AER's Anchorage facility on February 16th and 17th to introduce local operators to the expanded range of Tercel Oilfield products and services now available through AER in Alaska. Formed in 2010, Tercel is a global designer and manufacturer of leading-edge products to empower the upstream oil and gas industry. It represents the combination of four initial Tercel companies: Caledus, an Aberdeen, Scotland-based provider of a range of leading-edge drilling & completion enhancement tools; Diamant Drilling Services, , Belgium-based manufacturer and designer of fixed cutter drill bits and coreheads; Encore Bits, a Houston, Texas-based developer and manufacturer of PDC drilling bits; and Omni Oil Technology, a developer of proprietary drilling enhancement tools, including leading-edge roller reamers and stabilizers .

Caledus has been providing T&D reduction equipment in Alaska for the past 4 years. Tercel is finalizing the acquisition of a Roller Cone bit company to complete its full suite of drill bits products. On a reciprocative note Tercel will also be marketing AER's coil tubing Diamond Impregnated bits into the lower 48 and internationally.

Tercel products are gaining popularity globally and their success in Alaska has greatly contributed to the companies growth. Caledus EzeeGLIDERS have been run in wells on the North Slope and Cook Inlet as operators have been utilizing these products. Earlier this year the SwivelMASTER, another product by Caledus, was run to complete the worlds longest well OP-11 on Sakhalin Island with a measured depth of 12,345M or 40,502ft.
